MOPS (MOTHERS OF PRESCHOOLERS) will meet on Friday, February 12, from 9:30 - 11:30 AM at First United Methodist Church, Newark.  We will be learning about the nutrition and dietary needs of preschoolers. We'll also be enjoying food, fun, and fellowship with other Moms!  Childcare will be provided.  MOPS is a ministry for women with children aged newborn through kindergarten.  MOPS supports the unique needs of a mom through this age and stage of parenting.  The group meets the second Friday of each month throughout the school year. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall (which is actually a gymnasium); there is a sign over the white door. Please bring balls, play cars, or small scooters, but please remember everyone needs to wear soft-soled shoes (tennis shoes etc.) to avoid black scuff marks on the floor.

Candle Lighters is a social group seeking to provide inspirational times, educational experiences, and caring relationships. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 11:45 AM in the Social Room of the church. Any person 50 years of age or older is welcome to come and share.

The First Church bus will provide pickup of those persons wishing to attend the dinner but needing transportation. The bus pickup will follow a fixed route and schedule (see the attached Bus Route and Schedule).

The Free Community Dinner is held on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:00 PM in the Social Room of the church. All are welcome to come and enjoy the food and fellowship.
